'MY" Hunting Trip!

Every year my husband goes Archery hunting for about 3 weeks in the fall.. I usually take a week off and play, sew, or go to the mountains and see him

Well, This year I took a trip!!!

I went with a tour group and went on a quilt tour!!!  this is a picture of Landing in Boston,, wow,, I have never been past Montana so this was an adventure!!

We took a stop in Massachusetts for Lunch with the Big Bad Wolf, and ate real flowers.. next we visited some quaint quilt stores and the famous Keepsake quilting.. I bought and bought and bought fabric.. My suitcase was full.

I visited Boston,Lowell, Vermont, Burlington, and Woodstock Massachusetts. I learned a lot of history about Boston that I didn't remember :). then off to Kennebunkport and Ogunquit Maine. I finished off my trip visiting my son in Chicago.. I hadn't seen him since Christmas and we had such an adventure!. He was my personal tour guide and we had a blast..

This trip was awesome, and I feel blessed to have met some wonderful ladies and travel with my sister, but after 10 days I am so glad to be home. I will tell you a secret... I kinda missed my husband,, shhhhh don't tell him!!

My Son's College Graduation quilt

I have been out of the blogging loop for a while.  Between my childcare business, and quilting, along with life, I haven't had a moment to sit,,,

My Son Graduated from College!!  He Has a BFA in Theater, and has saved his t-shirts thru the years.  I have made quilts for 20 years, but this was my first t-shirt quilt and it turned out really nice.  I just did a panto on the quilt.  I couldn't find a happy/sad panto anywhere, so I emailed urban elementz and they designed one for me... and it was fun to do!!

I went to the HMQS show in Salt Lake and took quite a few Longarm classes and came back with my head spinning of ideas, and am working on all of them :)

well, I am off to plant flowers and quilt,,, Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

A Little of everything

Do any of you use a design board for your quilt tops?  I love mine,,, I lay it on my quilt to be quilted and draw my designs with a dry erase marker,, viola!!!  I can draw to my hearts content with designs,,, erase it off and do it again,,, I can see exactly how my design will look on my quilt blocks,,,
my husband cut this for me and sanded the edges so I didn't have to tape it,,, Every quilter should have one

This is a bed runner that I am  making for me!!!  the new colors of our master bedroom,,,, I love love the colors and the paisley,,, makes me sooo happy

and last,,, this is the PATTERN of a quilt I am making for a client,,, those are not her colors that she chose,,, I will post the fabrics after they are ironed,,, I have them washed,,, she wants a king size quilt and matching shams,,,   I want to get it completly sewn in the next 2 weeks,,, that will be a challenge for me since I have soo many projects to do,,, plus work:)

Happy Stitching!!!
